Getting You There, Every Time

NDIS Assist-Travel / Transport | Support Category 0108

Your day shouldn’t stop because getting somewhere feels too hard. From morning appointments to afternoon catch-ups, Serene Life takes the stress out of travel so you can focus on living your life.

You Deserve More Than Just a Ride

Many transport services will pick you up and drop you off;  we do more than that. Every journey with Serene Life comes with someone who genuinely cares about how your trip goes, not just whether you arrive. That difference matters more than you might think.

No More Stressing About Being Late

We plan every trip carefully so your day runs smoothly. Whether it’s a specialist visit, a therapy session, or getting to work on time, you’ll never be left scrambling. Your schedule is taken seriously, and we show up ready.

Your Comfort Is Thought Through

Our vehicles are designed so you travel with ease. There is proper space for your wheelchair, walking frame, or any other aids you use. You settle in; we take care of the rest. Every trip feels like it was planned just for you, because it was.

The Same Faces, Every Trip

We match you with support workers you get to know over time. When you see the same person pull up, travel stops feeling like a task and starts feeling comfortable and familiar. We protect that continuity because we know how much it matters.

Clinically Supported When You Need It

For participants with complex health needs, our Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) can travel with you. Your family and medical team can feel confident you’re properly supported from the moment you leave home until you return.

Your Social Life Shouldn’t Have to Shrink

Appointments are only one part of getting out. Seeing friends, joining community groups, attending events — these things keep you connected and feeling like yourself. We help you get to all of it, not just the medical trips.

Learning to Travel on Your Own Terms

If greater independence is one of your goals, we can work on that together. We practise routes with you, help you get comfortable with public transport, and build your confidence at a pace that suits you. Getting there on your own one day starts with someone beside you today.

Equipment and Technology That Helps You Move

Your Mobility Aids Come With You

Wheelchairs, walking frames, and other equipment are safely accommodated on every trip. You should never have to leave your aids behind or worry about how they’ll be handled.

Modifying Your Own Vehicle

If you own a car, your NDIS funding may cover modifications to make it work better for you — things like ramps, hoists, or custom seating. We can help you understand what’s possible.

Digital Tools That Make Getting Around Simpler

Travel apps and planning tools can take a lot of guesswork out of your day. We can show you how to use them so navigating becomes easier and less overwhelming.

Your Needs Change, and So Do We

Some weeks you need one trip; other weeks you need several. Your transport plan is built around your life and adjusted whenever things shift. You are always in charge of where you go and when — we just make it happen.

Three Simple Steps to Get Started

Step 1: Share Where You Need to Go:
Tell us about your regular trips, your routine, and anything specific about how you travel. The more we know, the better we can plan.

Step 2: We Put Your Plan Together
We map out a transport schedule that fits your NDIS plan and your life. Everything is tailored to you and can be updated any time your needs change.

Step 3: Travel With Confidence
We take care of the rest, punctual, comfortable, and supported by people who genuinely care. Every single trip.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does NDIS transport support actually cover?

It covers the cost of getting you to and from places your NDIS plan supports — medical appointments, work, education, day programs, and social activities. This includes private vehicle travel, public transport accompaniment, and travel training.

Is this support right for me if I cannot use public transport?

Yes. If your disability makes public transport unsafe or too difficult to use independently, transport support is designed exactly for your situation. You shouldn’t have to miss appointments or stay home because getting there is too hard.

Can I use this support to get to work?

Yes. Transport support can cover your trips to and from your workplace or job training. It works alongside Employment Support (0102), so the two complement each other well.

How do I know if transport funding is already in my NDIS plan?

Check your Core Supports budget, or ask your plan manager or support coordinator.
If it’s not currently in your plan, your next plan review is the time to raise it. We can help you prepare the information needed to support that request.

What if my transport needs change week to week?

That’s completely fine. Your plan does not need a fixed weekly schedule. We can set up flexible arrangements that cover trips as they arise, as long as each journey aligns with your NDIS goals.

Can a family member be paid to drive me?

In some limited situations, yes; but only if you are self-managed and there is a genuine reason informal support cannot meet the need. The NDIS has strict rules here. Speak with your support coordinator or plan manager before setting up anything like this.
